Xbox Game Pass Adds 7 New Games to Its Roster for October

Looking forward to 'Dead Space', 'Cities: Skylines II', and 'Jusant'

Microsoft's Xbox Game Pass continues to be one of the best values for your gaming dollar. Dead Space and Cities: Skylines II are huge releases, and indie game Jusant is getting some good early buzz.

October looks like it's going to be a killer month for bigger titles on Microsoft's Game Pass, a video game subscription service that lets you play games on PC, Xbox, and via the cloud for a monthly fee.

The standout releases this month include the remake of Dead Space, the sequel to Sim City's spiritual successor, Cities: Skylines II, and an indie puzzler, Jusant, that's getting a lot of early buzz among critics and gaming enthusiasts.

Game Pass members can grab historical samurai sword-fighter Like A Dragon: Ishin! today and then plan to download and play racing manager sim, F1 Manager 2023, on October 19. both titles will be available on PC, console, and cloud.

Build your own city and watch it thrive (or succumb to a natural disaster or two) in Cities: Skylines II, which arrives on PC Game Pass the same day it comes out in retail, October 24. We've been playing it a bit in early release, and it's looking pretty good.

The remake of 2008's sci-fi horror classic Dead Space for cloud, PC, and Xbox Series X and S arrives two days later on October 26. Get ready to scare yourself silly just a few days before All Hallow's Eve with this groundbreaking title.

If being terrified isn't your thing, you can also solve silly mysteries with Frog Detective: The Entire Mystery (cloud and console) and make new friends in a cozy Japanese-inspired village with Mineko's Night Market (cloud, console, and PC) on the same day.

October 31 brings the final two releases for this month's Game Pass, with music game Headbangers: Rhythm Royale and indie-darling and mountain-climbing Jusant to console, PC, and cloud gaming.

The seven releases are joined by a couple of updates and downloadable content as well as some new offers for anime streaming at Crunchyroll.

Sadly, a new month on Xbox Game Pass also means a few titles are going away, including the following:

  • Gunfire Reborn
  • Kill It With Fire
  • Persona 5 Royal
  • Signalis
  • Solasta Crown of the Magister
