CTL Just Added Two New Chromebooks for Education and Business

The PX141E the PX141EXT offer Intel processors, screen choices, and a privacy shutter

Schools and businesses are about to get another option for a laptop powerful enough for students and teachers.

Managing a network of computers for students, staff, or employees can be a difficult task, but CTL offers the tools you need, along with a couple of new Chromebooks for the coming school year.

CTL the availability of the Chromebook PX141E series in a press release. The series includes two new Chromebooks, the PC141E and the PX141EXT. Both systems feature Intel processors, Wi-Fi 6E, and Bluetooth 5.3. CTl also claims they're about 18 percent lighter than previous generations at around 3.6 pounds.

Of course, as computers that are rated for students, teachers, and office professionals, they're tested to the MIL-STD-810H standard for durability, which includes drop testing from 75cm (about 30 inches). They also feature hardened glass to help ensure that even if dropped, the screen remains intact, and they have spill-resistant keyboards that feature single-key replacement capabilities.

Both offer a 14-inch screen that rotates 180 degrees and 8 GB LPDDR5 RAM, but the PX141E offers 64GB storage, while the PX141EXT offers 128 GB storage. They also both have a 720p HD Webcam with a privacy shutter for those meetings or online classes you have to attend.

These are enterprise computers, however, so you'll need to order them in bulk. The PX141E starts at $299 per unit, and the PX141EXT starts at $369 per unit. CTL also offers lifecycle management services, including 1:1 planning and advice, device configuration and deployment, warranty and service plans, and more.
