Experience

Cameron Eittreim has been writing about technology since 2006, starting at AssociatedContent.com long before the internet was the beehive of informative content that it is today. His first love was tinkering with old Apple computers and then it blossomed into vintage video game hardware. More recently he has shifted his focus to video game retrospectives and obscure franchises.

He has written about automobiles, yoga and, more recently, cooking advice. His recent online work has been featured in Taste of Home Magazine.

Because of his affinity for reaching a niche audience, Cameron is a top writer in the Gaming section on Medium.com.

Cameron's work has also appeared in dozens of copywriting pieces across the internet, from targeting growth to the cognitive benefits of children's play rugs. He has also been branching into technical writing and is currently working on an emulation how-to guide for beginners.

Because of Cameron's experience with gaming technology and emulation, his articles have appeared as a reference on many forums including IGN, Toms Guide, Reddit, Tech Spot, and Emu Talk.

My Gear

My technology setup varies from day to day depending on if I want to be untied or not. My main notebook computer is a Lenovo Ideapad (which I prefer for the lightweight design). My desktop computer is an ASUS Chromebit CS10 (outdated, I know) hooked up to an external LG 29” UltraWide. Then I've got a modded PlayStation Classic running Project Eris, a modded Super Nintendo Mini, PS5, and a Nintendo Switch. I also have an Amazon - Echo Dot (3rd Gen), Kindle Fire HD 10 (current), and a Logitech F310 Gamepad.

Education

Cameron attended the University of Phoenix where he studied creative writing. After college, Cameron completed several general certifications in Python, Java, IT Help Desk, and PHP.

A Message from Cameron Thomas Eittreim

I'd like my love for tinkering on electronics to bleed into my writing. Educating through retrospectives is how I hope to inspire the next generation of techies.
