Every year, Apple sponsors the Design Awards, in which developers compete to be recognized "for their stellar design, technical achievement, and innovation." This year, the award winners run the gamut from mindfulness apps to games. On Thursday, ahead of the WWDC Conference scheduled for June 10, Apple announced the winners of the Design Awards. Those include developers from around the world, such as Happy Juice Games and Gentler Stories, and even well-known names like Procreate and The New York Times Company. App developers compete to win the Apple Design Award each year. Apple The games that won include: Bears Gratitude (Isuru Wanasinghe) - Delight and Fun Category NYT Games (The New York Times Company) - Delight and Fun Category oko (AYES) - Inclusivity Category Crayola Adventures (Red Games Co.) - Inclusivity Category Procreate Dreams (Procreate) - Innovation Category Lost in Play (Happy Juice Games) - Innovation Category Crouton (Devin Davies) - Interaction Category Rytmos (Floppy Club) - Interaction Category Gentler Streak Fitness Tracker (Gentler Stories) - Social Impact Category The Wreck (The Pixel Hunt) - Social Impact Category Rooms (Things, Inc.) - Visuals and Graphics Category Lies of P (NEOWIZ) - Visuals and Graphics Category djay pro - DJ App & AI Mixer (algoriddim GmbH) - Spatial Computing Category Blackbox (Shapes and Stories) - Spatial Computing Category In addition to the winners, each category has several finalists—developers who didn't win the award but were good enough to be in the final running.
